The 6 of July Day in Memoriam of Jan Hus (b. 1371), the Czech philosopher and religious thinker, revolutionary and martyr. On this day in 1415, he was burnt at the stake for not abandoning his beliefs. The movement inspired by his ideas became one of the brightest examples of social protest in the Middle Ages. |
