Regional Programme on Human Rights 2008
Îïóáëèêîâàíî 23.05.2008 The programme is carried out in two separate phases. The accepted participant undertakes to complete both phases.
Phase 1 in Lund, Sweden, October 6 – 31, 2008
Phase 2 (location to be announced), May 4 – 8, 2009
Individuals from the following countries are invited to apply for the programme:
Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyz Republic, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
During the first phase of the programme participants will be requested to formulate, in
writing, an individual assignment identifying challenges in implementing international human rights standards in their home countries with a focus on a particular issue or area relevant to their respective institution or organisation.
Phase two of the programme will take place in one of the countries in the region (exact
location yet to be announced) and will follow up on the individual assignments formulated
during phase one.
